Irene Marie Kerekes
(Madigan)
Irrene Marie Kerekes (Madigan), 71, of Fairlawn, passed away Sept. 23, 1998.
Irene was born in Akron, graduated from St. Mary's High School Class of '44, and was a faithful member of St. Hilary Catholic Church and its Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Madigan; her brothers, John, Carl, Joseph, and James; sisters, Margaret Mary, Rita, and Mary Teresa. Irene was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be especially missed at the Sunday family gathering by her husband of 51 years, Joe; children, Patty (Joe) Hrabusa, Joe (Ava) Jr., Jeannie Chapman (Rick Hamilton); grandchildren, Lisa, Joey, Cara Hrabusa, Gina (Jack) Porter, Laura (Beau) Kepler, Jeanette, Scott, Jodi Kerekes, Michael, Melanie, and Matthew Chapman; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Jacob Kepler; sisters, Cecelia Eisenhut and Catherine Ferguson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

KRECSMAR Joseph J. Krecsmar, age 79, of Columbus, passed away Friday at Echo Manor. He was born March 5, 1920 in Columbus, Ohio. He was employed by Goodyear Transmission and Thrifty Rent-A-Car. He is preceded in death by parents Stephen and Elizabeth (Kerekes) Krecsmar; brothers Anthony, Michael, and Albert Krecsmar; sisters Rose Magyrosi and Esther McCarty. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Laverne (Crego) Krecsmar; son, John "Skipper" Krecsmar and wife Cookie; grandchildren, Deano Krecsmar and Tyra Rich; step-daughter, Lynn Loomis and husband Charles; step-grandchildren, Charlie and wife Cindy, Wendy, Eric, Sam and wife Kim, Holly, Heather, & Heidi Loomis; brother, John Krecsmar; sister-in-law, Colleen Krecsmar of Elkhart, Indiana; brother-in-law, Don Crego and wife Donna of Florida; 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. George J. Muzsikos

George J. Muzsikos, 80, Cresco, died on Wednesday at his home. He was the husband of the late Mary T. Muzsikos, who died in 1994.
Born in Oak Park, Ill., he was the son of the late Lewis and Mary (Kerekes) Muzsikos. He was a resident of Cresco for the past 10 years.
He received his bachelor of science degree from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J., in marketing and public relations. He earned his master's from Seton Hall in management in 1957.
He worked for most of his life for Western Electric Company in New York as a project editor for defense projects. He also was an associate editor for McGraw-Hill in New York; an associate administrator for Gericare Centers in Montclair; an employment research specialist for the State of New Jersey; and a grants administrator in Parsippany, N.J.
He served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a counter intelligence officer.
He has no survivors.
A prayer service will be held on Friday at 12 p.m. from the Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Fifth St., Stroudsburg, with the Rev. Thomas Sokolowski officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.
There will be no viewing.

June A. Walz, 77, of Effort, died Saturday at her home. She was the wife of Paul Walz. They had been married 61 years.
Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Morgan) Dutt. She was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by four daughters, Elaine Buchman of Saylorsburg, Paula Kerekes of Effort, Wilma Banghart of Nazareth, and Brenda, wife of Dennis VanScoten of Effort; one brother, William Dutt of Phillipsburg, N.J.; and 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Donald N. Gower Funeral Home Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, with the Rev. Gerald Miller officiating. Visitation hour will be from 7 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Elsie Kerekes

Elsie Kerekes, 98, died Monday in Harbor House Hospice.
She was born March 19, 1903, in East Chicago, Ind. A homemaker, she was former owner and operator of a market and a 47-year resident of North Las Vegas.
She is survived by her sons, Michael and Joseph, both of Las Vegas; daughter, E. Joy Zweig of Hammond, Ind.; sisters, Jennie Walborn and Elizabeth Kader, both of East Chicago; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary-Downtown handled the arrangements. The family requests memorial donations be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
