EDWARD DOSSETT ALLEN, Sr., 79, of Jacksboro, died Tuesday, March 23 at his
home. He was retired from Union Carbide after 29 years of service. He is
survived by wife, Mary Ellen Vinsant Allen. Memorial graveside service will be
held Thursday, March 25 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zions Cemetery with Rev. Jim Mullens
officiating. Cross Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.



JOHN L. BACK, 49, of Sanford, Florida, died Thursday, March 4 as the result of
a motorcycle accident. He was a manager for AT&T and a member of the
Association of Data Processing Professionals and a veteran of the National
Guard. He was preceded in death by father, John Back and grandparents, Alberta
Olinger and J.R. "Roy" Johnson. Survivors include mother, Louise Johnson
Withers of Lake Mary, Florida; wife, Sheila.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 9. Family Funeral Care, Oveido,
Florida in charge of arrangements.






VINA BULLOCK, 79, of Caryville, died Thursday, March 18 at LaFollette Nursing
Home. She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. Earl Bullock; parents,
Charlie and Rebecca Thompson Queener.  Funeral services were held Saturday,
March 20 at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Dilbeck and Rev. Lloyd
Campbell officiating. Interment followed in Queener Cemetery.



JESSIE LEE CAMPBELL, 86, of White Oak, died Friday, March 19 at Methodist
Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was a veteran of WWII, and a retired coal
miner. He was preceded in death by parents, Sherman and Susan Walden Campbell.
He is survived by wife, Dora Goins Campbell.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 23 at Little White Oak Baptist
Church with Rev. James Bolton and Rev. Don Allen officiating. Interment
followed in Odd Fellow Cemetery. Cox & Son Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements.






HENRY HAYNES, 75, of LaFollette, died Sunday, March 21 at LaFollette Medical
Center. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the New York City Highway
Department. He was preceded in death by wife, Rose Ella Haynes. Funeral
services were held Wednesday, March 24 at Walters Funeral Home. Interment
followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.



ROSA J. HUSTON, 87, of LaFollette, died Saturday, March 20 at Briarcliff
Health Care Center in Oak Ridge. She was former owner and operator of Hutson's
Food Market with her husband until his death in 1965. She continued to operate
the business until 1991. She was preceded in death by husband, Browder FaDrew
Hutson.  Funeral services were held Monday, March 22 at Walters Funeral Home
with Rev. Leonard Dabney officiating. Music provided by Gene Roberts.
Interment followed Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.





KATIE MARIE LAWSON, 85, of Jellico, died Sunday, March 21 at Jellico Community
Hospital.
She was preceded in death by parents, Mary A. McCormick Taylor and Charlie
Taylor, Sr.; husband, John L. Lawson. Funeral services were held Wednesday,
March 24 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jerome Walden officiating.
Interment followed in Douglas Cemetery. Harp Funeral Home of Jellico in charge
of arrangements.





EFFIE LEE LEDFORD, 92, of LaFollette, died Monday, March 22 at LaFollette
Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by husband, Carl A. "Babe" Ledford and
parents, William and Nannie Belle Isham. Funeral services were held Wednesday,
March 24 at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Dabney and Rev. James Adkins
officiating. Interment will follow Thursday at 11 a.m. in Fincastle Cemetery.



MONIKA DENISE MEADOWS, 33, of Dayton, Tennessee died Tuesday, March 16 at Rhea
County Medical Center. Survivors include husband, Paul Meadows;  father and
stepmother, George and Reba Cox of LaFollette; mother and stepfather, Helena
and Ron Whitt of Beaver Creek, Ohio. Funeral services were held Friday, March
19 at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Cox and Rev. Lonnie Kennedy
officiating. Interment followed Saturday in Campbell Memorial Gardens.




GEORGIA MILLER, 69, of LaFollette, died Monday, March 22 at Methodist Medical
Center. She was preceded in death by parents, Houston and Ethel Carroll.
Survivors include husband, Ralph Miller. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at Martins Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Maxwell
officiating.. Interment will follow in Bakers Forge Cemetery.



ULIS SAMUEL PRATER, 79, of LaFollette, died Monday, March 22 at Lake City
Health Care Center. He had been in the flower business for over 30 years. He
was owner and operator of Francis Gardens and LaFollette Florist. He was
preceded in death by parents, Joe and Nancy Prater of LaFollette. Funeral
services were held Tuesday, March 23 at Walters Funeral Home with Terry Sweat
officiating. Interment followed Wednesday in Bakers Forge Cemetery.




JERRY QUEENER, 60, of Medford, died Sunday, March 21. He was a retiree of
Vinylex Corporation where he worked for 35 years. He was preceded in death by
father, Ira D. Queener. Survivors include wife, Sandra Josephine Long Queener;
mother, Esta Hutson Queener of Indiana. Funeral services were held Wednesday,
March 24 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. George Miller officiating.
Interment will follow Thursday at 11 a.m. at Beech Grove Cemetery in lake
City.





JAMES WILLIAM ROGERS, 76, of LaFollette, died Friday, March 19 at LaFollette
Medical Center. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #1300, Baltimore,
Maryland, and a US Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by parents,
Thomas and Rebecca Jane Prater RogersSurvivors include wife, pearl Rogers of
LaFollette. Funeral services were held Monday, March 22 at Glade Springs
Baptist Church with Rev. Don Reynolds and Rev. Glen Petree officiating.
Interment followed in Fincastle Cemetery with military honors by Campbell
County Honor Guard. Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.






MARVIN RAY SHROUT, 67, of Pioneer, died March 13 at Jellico Hospital.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 16 at Veterans Cemetery with full
military honors by Chaplin Tennessee Honor Guard .

KENNETH E. STANFORD, 62, of LaFollette, died Saturday, March 20 at LaFollette
Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Laura Shoffner Stanford
Survivors include wife, Phyllis Stanford. Funerals services were held
Wednesday, March 24 at martin Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Braden, Rev. Carl
Bradshaw, and Rev. Paul Heatherly officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise
Cemetery.





ELMER WHALEY, 62, of Caryville, died Monday, March 22 at UT Medical Center. He
was preceded in death by parents, William and Bell Seivers Whaley. Survivors
include wife, Bobbie Whaley. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25
at 3 p.m. at Vasper Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Gilliam and Rev. Larry
Russell officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before the service.
Interment will follow in Robbins Cemetery in Clinton. Cox-Martin Funeral Home
in charge of arrangements.





DELPHIE INEZ BROYLES WHITE, 83, of LaFollette, died Friday, March 19 at
LaFollette Medical Center. She was preceded in death by husband, Verlin Esco
White; parents, Adam and Millie Jane Baird Broyles. Funeral services were held
Sunday, March 21 at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Weldon officiating.
Interment followed Monday in Sunrise Cemetery.



CHESTER RAYMOND YOUNG, Sr., 78, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, died Wednesday,
March 17 at his home. He and his wife served with the Southern Baptist Foreign
Mission Board in the Hawaiian Islands from 1949-64. He taught American History
at Cumberland College until his retirement in 1985 and was the author of three
books. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Alexander and Girtie May
Young. Survivors include wife, Florence Alice Baird Young. Funeral services
were held March 20 at First Baptist Church, Williamsburg with Pastor Harold
Mauney officiating. Interment followed in Columbia Cemetery, Columbia,
Kentucky. Ellison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers
gifts may be made to Williamsburg First Baptist Church Building Fund or Tri-
County Hospice.

GENEVA CHITWOOD CAVANAH, 74, of Madison, Tennessee, formerly of Wooldridge,
Jellico, and Marlow, Tennessee, died Wednesday, March 31. She was preceded in
death by parents, Dock and Nan Bridges Chitwood.
Graveside services were held Saturday, April 3 at Memorial Gardens in
Anderson County with Rev. J. Michael Trotter officiating. Memorials may be
made to the American Cancer Society. Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue,
Knoxville, in charge of arrangements.





ELIHUE "Junebug" COUCH Jr., 54, of Arcanum, Ohio, died Monday, March 29 at
Jellico Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by father, Elihue Couch, Sr.; mother, Rosie Lee
Wooten Couch. Survivors include wife, Emma Couch of Little White Oak. Funeral
services were held Friday, April 2 at Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Jimbo
Bolton and Rev. Duncan Lambdin officiating. Interment followed in Bolton
Cemetery.





ANN M. CROMER COX, 60, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of LaFollette, died
Monday, March 29 at her home. She was preceded in death by parents, Edd and
Louraine Walden Cromer. Survivors include husband, Carl Cox, Sr. Funeral
services were held Thursday, April 1 at Tri-County Assembly Church of God.
Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.



OLLIE DOUGLAS, 79, of Dundee, Michigan, formerly of Elk Valley, died
Wednesday, March 31 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio. She is survived by
husband, Raymond. Funeral services were held Friday, April 2 at Jasin Funeral
Home with Rev. Fred R. Cornelius officiating. Graveside services followed
Saturday at ValleyView Cemetery in Elk Valley with Rev. Jerry Yancey
officiating. Harp Funeral Home of Jellico in charge of arrangements.




JACK DUNCAN, of Knoxville, formerly of Anderson County, died Sunday, April 4.
He was a member of Masonic Crystal Lodge for more than 50 years in
Briceville. He retired from Union Carbide's K-25 Plant in 1981 where he was
employed for 31 years. He is survived by wife, Helen. Graveside services will
be held Thursday, April 8 at Highland Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m. with Dr.
David W. Hull and Rev. Dixie Petrey officiating.




JAMES KENNETH HEATHERLY, Sr., 79, of Ross, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 31 at
his residence. He attended school in the LaFollette area. He served in the
United States Air Corp and was employed at Hamilton Foundry, the Estate Stove
Co., General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Fairfield, and Huffman's Open Air
Market in Ross. He was a member of UAW Local Union #647 and is a life member
of AMVETS.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charlie Brooks Heatherly and Bertha
McCullah Heatherly. Survivors include wife, Irene Heatherly. Funeral services
were held Saturday, April 3 at Charles C. Young Funeral Home in Ross, Ohio
with Pastor Glen Thomas officiating. Interment followed in Venice Cemetery.

FRED IVEY, 61, of LaFollette, died Saturday, April 3 at LaFollette Medical
Center.
He was preceded in death by parents, Mack and Lize Ivey. Survivors include
former wife, Barbara Ivey. Funeral services were held Monday, April 5 at
Walters Chapel with Rev. Emerson Sweat and Rev. Don Reynolds officiating.

EDMOND B. JENKINS, 99, of Jellico, died Sunday, April 4 at Beech Tree Manor
Nursing Home in Jellico.
He is survived by sister, Nell Jenkins Staton. Graveside services were held
Tuesday, April 6 at Jellico Cemetery with Dr. Chuck Summers officiating.

JILDA SHERWOOD LITTLETON, 50, of Clinton, died Saturday, April 3 at Methodist
Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Survivors include husband, David Littleton. Funeral services were held

GLADYS POWELL ROE, 87, of Duff, died Thursday, April 1 at Jellico Community
Hospital. She was preceded in death by husband, Emerson Roe. Funeral services

MURIEL CLARK SPODEN, 78, died Friday, April 2 at her home in Kingsport,
Tennessee after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by parents, William Micajah Clark and Bess Tayman
Clark. Survivors include husband, Hal T. SpodenFuneral services were held
Monday, April 5 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Kingsport with Rev. Daniel
P. Matthews and Rev. Suzanne Smitherman officiating. Interment followed in

MARIE W3ALLEN TAYLOR, 92, died Friday, April 2 at LaFollette Nursing Home.
She retired from the Campbell County School System where she was a teacher
for 41 years. She was a member of Caryville United Methodist Church where she
was organist and a Sunday School teacher.  Funeral services were held April 5
at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Redding officiating. Interment followed
in Campbell Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may

MARY E. BOWLIN MEADOWS BAIZE, 78, of Tomaston, Georgia, formerly of Mountain
Ash, Kentucky, died Tuesday, April 6 at Upson Regional Medical in Tomaston.
Graveside services were held Saturday, April 10 at Oak Lawn Cemetery in
Pleasant View, Kentucky with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Llewellyn

ROSIE ELIZABETH BAILEY BEZARK, 61, of Knoxville, died Saturday, April 10 at
St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville.  She was preceded in death by
parents, Frank and Rosa Bradshaw Bailey.  Husband Michael Jay Bezark of
Clinton. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13 at Holley-Gamble
Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Joe Bridges officiating. Interment
followed in Robbins Cemetery in Dutch Valley.




IDA "Irene" CHAMBLEE BRAFF, 62, of Clinton, died Thursday, April 8 at her
residence. She was preceded in death by father, Woodrow Chamblee; mother,
Virgie Moody Aslinger; grandmother, Belle Kennedy Moody

LaFollette, died Thursday, April 8 at her home.  She was preceded in death by
first husband, Roosevelt "Ted" Davenport; parents, Sherman and Florence
Wilson Brown. Survivors include husband, John Carroll, Jr. Funeral services
were held Tuesday, April 13 at Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Bradshaw

CARL "Pepsi" DUNCAN, 57, of Jellico, died Saturday, April 10 at his family
residence.
He was preceded in death by parents, Marshall "Boxie" Douglas and Mossie
Douglas Hamilton; grandmothers, Martha Downs and Mary J. Douglas. former
wife, Jolene "Jodi" Douglas; and step-father, Jake Hamilton. Funeral services
were held Monday, April 12 at Cox & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Moses
and Rev. Ralph Combs officiating. Interment followed Tuesday in Douglas
Cemetery.






NEWMAN FOX, 93, of Jellico, Kentucky, died Saturday, April 10 at his family
residence. He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Molly Fuson Fox.

INEZ BUNCH GANN, 84, of London, Kentucky, formerly of Elk Valley, died
Wednesday, April 7 at Beechtree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico.  She was
preceded in death by parents, Thurman and Cora Vanderpool Bunch. Funeral
services were held Saturday, April 10 at Wolf Creek Baptist Church with
Rev.Jack Smith officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant View Cemetery.

LARRY K. LEACH, 47, of LaFollette, died Wednesday, April 7 at LaFollette
Medical Center. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded
in death by father, James Leach, Jr.  and brother, Michael Leach. Survivors
include; mother, June Lowe Leach Rutherford of LaFollette. Funeral services
were held Saturday, April 10 at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Carpenter
and Rev. Ronnie Thomas officiating. Interment followed in Peabody Cemetery.




KARIS RAY LOVING, 63, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, died Sunday, April 4 at
Jellico Community Hospital. He was a Kentucky Colonel for five years and a
cola miner and farmer.
He was preceded in death by parents, Frank Loving and Gilberta Lambdin
Loving. Survivors include wife, Freida Loving. Funeral services were held
Thursday, April 8 at Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Lett and Rev. Billy
Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant View Cemetery (Moses
Addition).






LEONARD NAPIER, 80, of Caryville, died Wednesday, April 7 at Oak Ridge
Methodist Medical Center. He was owner and operator of Napier Produce for 25
years and a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by parents, George
and Virginia Bailey Napier. Funeral services were held Friday, April 9 at
Martin Funeral home with Rev. Jasper Walden officiating. Interment followed
Saturday in Bakers Forge Cemetery.




MAZZIE MZE SMITH, of Miami Township, Ohio, died Monday, April 12 at Manor
Care in Sycamore, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Calvary

MELDA WHITAKER VIOLETt, 81, of Lake City, died Thursday, April 9 at her
residence. She was preceded in death by husband, Robert L. Violet. Parents,
Fletcher and Stella Garner Whitaker. Funeral services were held Sunday, April

Center. She was the retired owner and operator of Shamrock Grocery in
Briceville. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas K. Vowell; parents,
Judson and Stella Lillian Hill Henderson. Funeral services were held Sunday,
April 11 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with Rev. Rick Teague and
Rev. Jimmy Ault officiating. Interment followed Monday in McCarty-Woodhaven
Memory Gardens in Claxton.





EDITH WALDEN, 69, of LaFollette, died Tuesday, April 6 at UT Medical Center
in Knoxville. She was preceded in death by husband, Everette Walden. Parents,
John and Flossie Hubbard Kitts. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 8
at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Duncan officiating. Interment
followed Friday in Walden Cemetery.



LARRY MILLER, 53, of Miamiville, Ohio, formerly of Highcliff, Tennessee, died
Friday, April 9 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. He was a
member of Miamiville Fire and EMS, a member of Miami Township Fire and EMS, a
member of OSFA, and a member of Clermont County Arson Task Force. He was
preceded in death by parents, Lawrence Walker and Clara Tidwell Walker.
Survivors include wife, Wanda Lay Walker. Funeral services were held Monday,
April 12 at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio and Tuesday, April 13 at
Highcliff Baptist Church with Rev. James E. McKinney of Goshen Church of God
officiating. Interment followed in Lot Cemetery.







TOMMY ESTEL WELCH, 74, of Jacksboro, formerly of West Alexandria, Ohio, died
Wednesday, April 7 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was preceded
in death by parents, Alice Bullock and Clyde Welch, Sr.. Survivors include
wife, Wilma Welch. A private graveside service was held Saturday, April 10 at

VIRGIL ROBERT WILLIAMS, 75, of Jefferson City, formerly of Newcomb, died
Thursday, April 8 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. He was

JOSEPHINE VANDERGIFF BROWN, 79, of Clinton, formerly of Briceville, died
Tuesday, April 13 at UT Medical Center. She retires as Postmaster of the
Briceville Post Office and was a member of Coal Creek Chapter of Eastern
Star.  She was preceded in death by husband, Ralph H. Vandergriff; husband,
Grover Brown; parents, Noah and Eva Harness. Funeral services were held
Monday, April 19 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Duncan and
Rev. Edwin Phillips officiating. Interment followed Tuesday in Laurel Grove
Cemetery in Briceville.






VIRGIL CHRISTIAN, 88, of Jellico, died Wednesday, April 14 at Marymount
Medical Center in London, Kentucky.
He is survived by wife, Rosie Marie Christian. Funeral services were held
Saturday, April 17 at Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Carpenter
officiating. Military honors were conducted by Campbell County Honor Guard
and Jellico High School Jr. ROTC. Interment followed in Kensee Cemetery.




HELEN LARUE ELLIOTT, 69, died Monday, April 19 at Methodist Medical Center of
Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by husband, George Charles LaRue;
husband, Homer J. Elliott; parents, Bill and Hattie Hicks. Funeral services
were held Wednesday, April 21 at Island Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Lowell
Elkins and Rev. Charles Harness officiating. Interment followed in Island

Tree Manor in Jellico.

JAMES ALLAN JONES, 69, of Jacksboro, died Saturday, April 17 at his home. He
was a veteran of the US Navy. He completed US Naval Training in Great Lakes,
Illinois and was a graduate of Hospital Corps and Massachusetts College of
Pharmacy. He was a chemist for the Federal Food and Drug Administration for
28 years. He was a former treasurer for Campbell County Library Board, a
member of the Friends of Jacksboro Library, and active in Save Our Cumberland
Mountains. He was also a private Airline Pilot.  He was preceded in death by
parents, James E. Jr. and Ruth M. Hardy Jones. Funeral services were held
Monday, April 19 at Martin Funeral Home with Father Greg Neuzil officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Jacksboro Library,
First State Bank of Jacksboro or the American Cancer Society.









CLIFFORD CHARLES KOHLMEYER, 90, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Leesburg, Florida,
died Friday, April 9 at his home. He was retired after 44 years of employment
from Cincinnati Bell Telephone and was a veteran of WWII. Mr. Kohlmeyer was a
volunteer at a local nursing home five days a week. He was preceded in death
by parents, Edward and Louise Kohlmeyer; first wife, Helen Lamping Kohlmeyer.
Survivors include wife, Ruth Emmons Kohlmeyer of Cincinnati. Interment was
held at Morrow Cemetery in Morrow, Ohio. John Evans Funeral Home of
Cincinnati, Ohio in charge of arrangements. The family has requested that
memorials for Mr. Kohlmeyer be sent to the Building Fund, First Baptist
Church, LaFollette, TN.








JAMES R. PARTIN, 40, of Chesterland, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 14 in
Chesterland.
He is survived by wife, Margaret A. Partin. Funeral services were held
Monday, April 19 at Harp Funeral Home with Father Bob Damron officiating.
Interment followed in Douglas Cemetery.



MADELINE CARTER REED, 80, of Pleasant View, Kentucky, died Monday, April 19
at her family residence. She was preceded in death by parents, General and
Bertha Carter. Survivors include husband, George R. Reed. Funeral services
will be held Thursday, April 22 at 2 p.m. at Cox & Son Funeral Home in
Jellico with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Reed
Cemetery.




LESTER R. RIDENOUR, 85, of LaFollette, died Wednesday, April 14 at LaFollette
Medical Center. He retired from International Harvester, was a hospital
volunteer, and a veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charles Alex and Ida Mae Walker Ridenour.
 Survivors include wife, Pernie Esta Cooper Ridenour.  Funeral services were
held Saturday, April 17 at Demory Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Siler, Rev.
Everett Cooper, and Rev. Conley Shepherd officiating. Interment followed in
Oak Grove Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.






BRENDA GAIL TAYLOR WELCH, 43, of South Lebanon, Ohio, formerly of Jellico,
died April 14.
She is survived by husband, Stan Welch; parents, George and Alene Taylor.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 17 at Tufts Schildmeyer Family
Funeral Home in Loveland, Ohio. Graveside services were held Monday, April 19
in Peabody Cemetery in Jellico.




GAIL WILSON, 58, of Mason, Ohio, formerly of Caryville, died Thursday, April
15. He was a self-employed lifelong carpenter.  He was preceded in death by
wife, Paula; father, Ed Wilson of Caryville. Funeral services were held
Saturday, April 17 at Hodapp Funeral Home in Mason, Ohio with Rev. Glen
Davidson officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery, Loveland, Ohio.



MILDRED WILSON, 79, of Fratersville, Tennessee, died Thursday, April 15 at
Lake City Health Car Center. She was preceded in death by husband, Henderson
"Hence" Wilson; parents, John and Versulia Murray. Funeral services were held
Sunday, April 18 at Cox-Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Warner Hawkins
officiating. Interment followed in Leach Cemetery in Lake City.

Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ewell and Minerva Crabtree. Survivors
include husband, Dennis Bolton. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 24
at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Heatherly and Rev. Melvin Brandenburg
officiating. Interment followed in Campbell Memorial Gardens.




JACK WILLIAM BRIMM, 71, of Jellico, died Monday, April 19 at Jellico
Community Hospital.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22 at Harp Funeral Home with Rev.
Jerry Shelton officiating. Interment followed in Watts Creek Cemetery.
Military honors were conducted by Campbell County Honor Guard.



THOMAS DAGLEY, 94, of LaFollette, died April 20 at Lake City Health Care
Center. He was preceded in death by wife, Rena Mae Dagley; parents, Rev.
Billy and Cordie Hayes Dagley. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22
at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. J.T. Asbury and Bro. Jerry Dagley

MARGARET L. DAVIS, 79, of Lake City, died Tuesday, April 20 at Methodist
Medical Center in Oak Ridge. She was preceded in death by parents, James and
Gertie Gadd; former husband, James Earl Phipps. Survivors include husband,

NETTIE AROLA DAVIS, 70, of LaFollette, died Monday, April 21 at LaFollette

PEGGY A. TILLER DAY, 48, of Dayton, Ohio, died Tuesday, April 20 at her
residence. She was preceded in death by parents, Ross Tiller and Roxis

MARY RACHAEL CLAIBORNE DUNCAN, 79, died Monday, April 26 at her family
residence in Whiteland, Indiana. She was a charter member and past Matron
Jubilee of Chapter OES #602. She was co-owner of Duncan Market in Whiteland
with her husband for 36 years. She was preceded in death by parents, William
Taylor and Helen Childress Claiborne. Funeral services are being held
Thursday, April 29 at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin, Indiana with
Rev. Mike Seaney officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory

ELLA HATMAKER died Tuesday, April 27 at LaFollette Medical Center. She was
preceded in death by husband, Harvey H. Hatmaker Graveside services will be
held Thursday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Murrayville Cemetery. Funeral services
were held Wednesday, April 28 at Roach Mortuary with Paul Cordell and Rev.
Howard Tapp officiating.



LONZA "Lonzo" MCKAMEY, 72, of Caryville, died Saturday, April 24 at his home.
He sang with the Wright Family for 34 years. He was also a member of
Caryville Masonic Lodge #665 F&AM and a retired coal miner.
He was preceded in death by parents, Abe and Susie Byrge McKamey. Survivors
include wife, Lizzie McGhee McKamey  Funeral services were held Wednesday,
April 28 at Beech Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Phillips and Rev. Virgil

Rev. ALBERT DOYLE MASSENGILL, Sr., 75, of Caryville, died Wednesday, April 21
at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He served as an evangelist for 40 years
and was a veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by parents, William F.
and Maggie Cooper Massengill. Survivors include wife, Mildred Massengill.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 24 at Fundamental Baptist Church
with Rev. Larry Russell, Rev. Bill Hutson, and Rev. Terry Sweat officiating.

LAWRENCE LUSTER OSBORNE, 82, of Jellico, died Friday, April 23 at Jellico
Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by father, Walter Osborne; mother, Katie Jones
Osborne; first wife, Ruby Osborne; second wife, Rosette Osborne. Funeral
services were held Monday, April 26 at Harp Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin
Douglas officiating. Interment followed in Osborne Family Cemetery at Roses
Creek.





M.H. "Muddy" SCOTT, 81, of Longwood, Florida, formerly of LaFollette, died
Tuesday, April 27. He was a former member of LaFollette City Council. He was
also a member of LaFollette Masonic Lodge #623 F&AM and a Shriner. He was a
retired life insurance agent. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April
29 at Cross Funeral Home with Rev. James Hall officiating. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow
Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery.





CHINA EDNA MCNEELY TIDWELL, 86, of LaFollette, died Saturday, April 24 at Oak
Ridge Methodist Medical Center. She was preceded in death by husband, Anell
Adam Tidwell. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 25 at Martin Funeral
Home with Dr. Charles Parker and Rev. John L. Shoun officiating. Interment
followed Monday in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
